The 2009 BPAIIG Autumn Research Day will be held on Friday 11th December at the Evelina Children's Hospital.

We hope that we have managed to avoid clashing with other meetings (APA, UKPIN)  so that as many people as possible will be able to attend.

One aim of the meeting is to set our agenda for AII "NIHR portfolio" studies including MCRN and non-medicines research.

The final agenda will be circulated in mid September but will include:
 
- trainees research presentations
- antimicrobial/ID research (antivirals, antifungals, antibaterials, vaccines, swine flu collaborative research update)
- immunology research
- allergy research
- new planned collaborative studies (workshop style discussions)
- infrastructure development: achieving UK network studies in allergy, immunology and ID, European network links
- trainees forum
 
We thought as well that it has been so long since the "Dutch Island" event that it was time to try to organise some sort of social event alongside the meeting....its not clear whether this would be better on Friday (meaning late transport home) or Thursday (meaning some having to stay overnight) - so maybe you could vote at http://www.doodle.com/y3dcw8deyxbqf8sd for which you would prefer!
 
It would be great if we could achieve Senior and Trainee representation from all the UK AII units.
